Compact Lighting Effect Controller with Burned-Out Bulb Effect
Our “burned-out bulb” effect, introduced years ago, has always been a customer favorite. Perfect for any haunted house, industrial or cyberpunk setting, or anywhere you need some less-than-reliable lighting, this compact little lighting effect controller (29mm x 15mm / 1.14" x 0.6") operates six independent channels of flickering, burning-out randomness. Once a bulb “burns out,” it stays off for a random time, comes back on again, and the cycle resumes. The effect controller has six outputs, so you can connect up to six LED lights (sold separately).
Using the button on the controller board, you can select three different delay settings (the delay is the amount of time a light remains on or off before being randomly evaluated for flicker and/or burn-out). Settings are saved even when power to the controller is turned off.

The demo shows several lights randomly flickering and some of those flickering lights selected to “burn out” (to turn off for a random period of time, then come back on). All of this is managed by the little controller, and each of the six outputs has its own random behavior.
To use this controller, simply connect Brickstuff Pico LED lights (or 3rd-party lights with the same Pico connector) and a power supply. Any of our EasyLight™ Power Packs or Mini Power Packs will work.
This effect controller will work with any Brickstuff component that has small plugs, and it is also fully compatible with components from other vendors including Light My Bricks, Vonado, LeLightGo, Briksmax, and others.
