We're thrilled to re-release our magnetic power connectors mounted inside LEGO®-compatible train coupler mounts. These have been updated to use our small (Pico-size) connecting plugs. These are the perfect way to add lights to your LEGO® train cars without needing a power supply in each car.

Add Central Power to Your LEGO® Trains with Power Couplers
If you need to put lights into LEGO® trains, typically you need to place a power supply inside each car. Our magnetic power couplers are a more efficient solution, since you can use a single power supply anywhere in the train to power lights throughout the train.

This kit includes one set (one male and one female) of magnetic power couplers mounted inside LEGO®-compatible train coupler mounts. These mounts are 3D printed in our shop-- we make these connectors by hand in our shop in Minnesota, USA. The mounts will snap into the Basic Train Coupling, LEGO® part #2920, but please note that the coupling brackets are not included with this kit. We do have them available for sale separately in our Bricks and Parts section, if you need them.
These magnetic connectors work with the "old style" LEGO train couplers, which were included with sets made up until 1991. Since then, LEGO has used a "new style" of sealed couplers with internal magnets. These magnetic power couplers are not compatible with the "new style" of couplers.
The magnets have a similar strength to the original LEGO magnets they replace, so they can pull long trains.
These connectors will work with any Brickstuff component that has small plugs, and they are also fully compatible with components from other vendors including Light My Bricks, Vonado, LeLightGo, Briksmax, and others.
