If you've got an Arduino Uno microcontroller board, now you can write your own lighting effects and control hundreds of lights with our Arduino Uno shield.
NOTE: this product includes the Arduino Uno shield only. You will need to purchase your own Arduino Uno microcontroller board separately.
If you would like to connect your own lights and sensors to this shield, make sure to pick up our Accessory Add-On Pack of cables as well.
We wanted to make a shield that gave Arduino coders the most flexible options to work with our lights and other products. This shield is packed full of outputs, and works right out of the box with any of our lighting parts. The shield also has Arduino headers pre-soldered, so it is ready to plug in.
Best of all, you can power your entire project-- including the Arduino board itself-- using our standard Brickstuff power supplies like the USB cable or AAA battery pack.

The shield includes:
- Six high-power outputs, each capable of powering 100 lights or more
- One RF remote input, so you can use our RF Remote Control (sold separately) with your own custom lighting programs
- Two sensor inputs, so you can use your own analog sensors
- Two BrickPixel™ outputs, for controlling large numbers of lights individually-- also for controlling RGB color-changing lights
- One I2C/Control output, for use with any I2C device-- also works with our Intelligent Sound Module (sold separately), so you can easily add and control your own custom sounds
An onboard power indicator light and Arduino reset button are also provided.
The pin connections are clearly listed on the top of the shield, so you can add these directly to your Arduino sketch.
We will be publishing code samples and sample project ideas on our user forum at this link: http://bit.ly/brickstuff-arduino. We will be publishing samples over time, so if there are specific projects you would like to see us document, please let us know by sending a message through our Contact Form.
Some of the connections mentioned above (RF Remote and BrickPixel™) are not currently available, but we will be updating this page by the end of December 2020 with more information about adding these parts to your Arduino setup.
We also plan to make available a Maker Accessory Kit that includes cables and plugs you can use to connect your own wires, lights, and sensors to the shield.
We are huge fans of the Arduino movement at Brickstuff, and we can't wait to see what you create using this shield!
