If you're comfortable soldering, you can use these cables to use Brickstuff lights with any microcontroller or other 5V DC project. The ends of the cable are not stripped or tinned, so you'll have to use a wire cutter or blade to strip the insulation off the ends of the wires.
Using two of these cables, you can also create your own custom extension cables of any length.

This 6-inch cable has a large Brickstuff plug on one end and bare wires on the other, perfect for when you want to make your own extension cable (use two DIY cables and use your own wire in between), or when you want to connect any Brickstuff light to your own 5V DC power supply. This is the way to use our lights with an Arduino or similar microcontroller, to use in a robotics project, or when you just want to bring your own power supply.
The large plug works with the full line of Brickstuff products. You can also use these with other brands of lighting products by adding a Dual Size Expansion Board.
