Add Smooth Light with Our LED Backlight
This is an update to our popular medium LED backlight panel, with two cool white LED lights mounted inside a 27mm x 50mm diffuser that evenly distributes the light. There is a black backing on the panel to block the light on the back, and we’ve soldered a driver board with connecting plug to the back as well, so you just need to plug in the supplied connecting cable and connect to a power source to add smooth, cool light to your scene. These panels were designed specifically to fit inside LEGO® door panels, and using the metal LED pins on the bottom of the panel as a wedge, the light is held securely in place inside the door panel. This makes these lights ideal for lighting up any LEGO® panel such as those used in the Palace Cinema, or any other translucent panel element.
These panels aren’t just for LEGO® fans, however, and you don’t need to use them with the standard 5 volts DC that the Brickstuff system uses. If you’re comfortable soldering, you can connect any AC or DC voltage source up to 30 volts directly to the driver board’s solder tabs to drive the LED lights, so this panel is also perfect for scale models, sci-fi builds, or model railroads.
