4.3-Inch Video Player with Sound for Scale Models
Ever since launching our line of BrickScreen products in 2019, we've had requests to let customers load their own videos onto the modules. With this 4.3-inch full-color video playback module, you can do just that! The only thing you need to add to this kit is a USB or Brickstuff power supply—everything else is included with the kit.
This kit includes the video module with internal memory, attached speaker, a short USB data/power cable (with Mini-USB connector), and a Brickstuff expansion board.
Power:
You can power the video module from any USB connection, or use the included expansion board to power the module from a Brickstuff power supply. (Note that due to the power requirements of this video module, we only recommend using our Brickstuff USB cable or Power Functions power supply to provide power. The module will not work with our smaller battery power sources.)
How to use:
Simply connect the module to a computer using the included USB cable. The module will appear as an external USB memory device. From there, it's as easy as dragging and dropping the video file(s) you want to load onto the module. Once the module is disconnected from the computer and connected to an external USB or Brickstuff power supply, the video(s) loaded onto the module will automatically begin to play.
You can load more than one video onto the module, and the videos will play in sequence in the order in which they were loaded. Note that it is not possible to select a specific video to play, or to change videos once playback has begun.
The module includes 100MB of onboard memory for storing videos. This equals approximately 30 minutes of optimized/compressed video playback. If your videos are too large to fit onto the module, instructions are included that show how to easily reduce the file size of your video using free online tools.
This module does not include volume control buttons. Volume is set at the factory and cannot be changed. If you would like to change the volume of the video(s) loaded onto the module, you can follow the included instructions and use free online tools to adjust the volume in the video file itself before copying onto the player module.
